WHILE Philisiwe Shabalala was still trying to come to terms with an evil fire that attacked her home, tragedy struck again.

The 65-year-old from Grange, Pietermaritzburg said that after the fire, which ate all her belongings except her Bible, hymn book and church uniform, a sinkhole appeared in her yard and strange things started happening.

She said what made her very scared was that the hole, which first appeared on Saturday, kept getting bigger.

“I noticed it while I was cleaning my yard on Saturday. I closed it up with soil but it opened again. I then put a huge building block on top of it.”

The gogo said if the hole continued to grow she would be forced to move.

KZN Traditional Healers Association chairman Thandonjani Hlongwane said the mysterious events at the gogo’s house were a sign that someone meant her family harm.

“This family must get muthi to sprinkle in the yard to chase away the spell that has been cast. They must do this before it claims the life of a family member,” he said.
