THE Essence All Star Music Concert was on fire on Saturday.

Amahle Zondi (28) went to the show to see Jill perform.

“I only see her on TV but today I got the opportunity to see her face to face.“I love her so much, especially her character on Why Did I Get Married,” said Amahle.

DJ Merlon and Mondli Ngcobo also got the opportunity to share the stage with the US star.They were the first to perform, setting the tone for what was to be an amazing show.

The crowd enjoyed a feast of music and thrilling performances from some of their favourite stars.

The concert was held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban, KZN.

The Koze Kuse hitmakers were followed by Nasty C, who also didn’t disappoint.

Hip hop lovers went crazy when the Hell Naw and Juice Back hitmaker took to the stage.He performed songs from his award-winning album, Bad Hair Extensions.

The queen of gqom, Babes Wodumo, also did what she is known for.During Babes’ performance, the crowd screamed and joined her in the vosho dance.

Everyone was catered for at the event, as maskandi fans were treated to a live performance by popular maskandi star, Khuzani Mpungose.

MiCasa also gave a great performance.
