Simphiwe Ngema and Dumi Masilela were married for just two months when the Rhythm City actor was killed in an attempted hijacking last week.

During Masilela’s memorial service, Ngema tried her best to hold back her tears while speaking about her late husband.

The first thing she said was: “Nothing can prepare you for being a 27-year-old widow. That all the dreams you dreamt of will be taken away from you.”

She referred to Masilela as a very strong man, from whom she continued to draw strength.

“Dumi was so strong and that’s where I’m getting my strength from right now.”
