The legendary Teko Modise will wearing jersey number 13 at Cape Town City where he is expected to use his experience to lead the young teammates .

City this morning confirmed the signing of Modise on a two-year contract.

The 34-year-old midfielder joined the Telkom Knockout champions as a free agent following a six-and-a-half-year stay with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Fellow recruits Ayanda Patosi (10), Lyle Lakay (7) and Jeitoso (18) have also been allocated their numbers for the season.

The Citizens finished third in the Premiership, thereby qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup, and won the TKO under Eric Tinkler in their first year of existence in 2016/17 following the acquisition of Mpumalanga Black Aces’ topflight status.

Tinkler has since switched allegiance to SuperSport United, with Bafana Bafana legend Benni McCarthy recently replacing him at the coastal outfit.
